Reactivity: (Homo sapiens) UniProt:Q9UHD9 Abbreviation:UBQLN2 Alternative Names:CHAP1; DSK2; FLJ10167; FLJ56541; HRIHFB2157; N4BP4; PLIC2; Nedd4 binding protein 4|protein linking IAP with cytoskeleton 2|ubiquitin-like product Chap1/Dsk2 Application:ELISA Range:1.56-100 ng/mL Sensitivity:0.64 ng/mL Intra-AssayCV:?5.8% Inter-AssayCV:?8.3% Recovery:1.09 Sample Type:Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids Detection Method:Sandwich Analysis Method??:Quantitive Test principle:This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate UBQLN2 in samples. An antibody specific for UBQLN2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyUBQLN2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjµgated antibody specific for UBQLN2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjµgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of UBQLN2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Product Overview:Ubiquilin-2 is a ubiquitin-like protein (ubiquilin) that shares high degree of similarity with related products in yeast, rat and frog. Ubiquilins contain a N-terminal ubiquitin-like domain and a C-terminal ubiquitin-associated domain. They physically associate with both proteasomes and ubiquitin ligases, and thus thoµght to functionally link the ubiquitination machinery to the proteasome to affect in vivo protein degradation. This ubiquilin has also been shown to bind the ATPase domain of the Hsp70-like Stch protein. The predicted 624-amino acid PLIC2 protein, also called UBQLN2, shares 72% amino acid identity with PLIC1. Two motifs are conserved in the mammalian PLICs and yeast Dsk2, an N-terminal ubiquitin-like (UBL) domain and a C-terminal ubiquitin-associated (UBA) domain. Stability:The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calcµLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).
